At Salad, we take cake very seriously.
So seriously in fact, that with the return of the Great British Bake Off, we’ve taken the opportunity to have a Bake Off of our own.

Critics feedback

We arrived at the office this morning to find a sleep deprived Natalie applying the finishing touches to a towering giant of a cake. Delicious buttercream and jam sandwiched between 7 (yes 7) layers of perfectly baked sponge and elegantly decorated with a bucket load of fresh summer berries. If Carlsberg made victoria sponge cakes, they would do it like this. A lack of self-restraint left a number judges nursing swollen bellies but other than this, there were no complaints - thumbs up all round!

How Does It Work?

The Rules

Rule #1

Each player pays an entry fee and picks a name from a hat.
This name is their nominated Great British Bake Off contestant.

Rule #2

Each week on the GBBO, a contestant is eliminated.
The player who had that name now has to bake for the rest of the team, before the next programme airs.

Rule #3

Baked goods will be judged according to our rigorous judging criteria and scored appropriately.

Rule #4

Each player left in the competition on the final day will bake.
However, there can only be one winner.

Rule #5

Our leaderboard winner receives the prize money!
